They’re fast, they come pre-formatted for the Mac, and the aluminum finish matches perfectly. In my opinion, G-Technology by far makes the best external hard drives for the Mac. I use it every day to back up my computer with Time Machine, but also use it store photos and other important files.

It matches perfectly with my 2015 MacBook Pro. One of the big reasons I bought this drive was because of the sleek aluminium. It is a bit on the heavy side but at the same time, it gives me the feel of durability. When I first took it out of the box, the first thing I noticed was the weight. Depending on the storage size you get, they range from $159.95 to $399.95 on G-Technologies website. I purchased the 4TB because it seemed the most optimal for my needs.

It comes in a 2TB, 3TB, 4TB, and 6TB version. The drive packs a 7200 RPM drive speed along with a 226 MB/s transfer rate. This is personally my first G-Drive and I’m quite impressed. This external hard drive is one of the many hard drives G-Technology makes. This G-Drive is not only beautiful, it’s efficient.
